ABOUT US AND ORDERING

We are Peugeot Citroen parts dismantlers we are based at Unit 1 Fleetwood Road, Off Wyre Street, Padiham, BB12 8DF. You can find us online at www.pugcit.co.uk and you can contact us directly on 01282 777714. (This number is charged at normal rate) We supply all goods nationwide and worldwide for cars. When requesting parts you will receive quotes via e-mail, text message or telephone. In these quotes they will outline the cost of the part, delivery costs, VAT and length of guarantee that the parts come with. The quote is valid as long as the goods remain in stock. Payments can be made via most major credit or debit cards over the telephone.  We will always try to supply the exact part that customers require. Due to the variations in make, model, design and year of manufacture, we cannot give any guarantee that all parts are correct or fit for the purpose required. We have never seen your car and have never worked on it; parts may have been changed on your vehicle since it was manufactured. It will help if customers can bring a sample part for comparison or supply us with part numbers and pictures, but all sales are made on the strict understanding that the customer is responsible for making sure that parts bought are correct or fit for the purpose required. Colours and shades cannot be guaranteed. In the event of a part purchased is not correct for the particular vehicle, we will attempt to replace the part with the correct one, provided that within 48 hours, the part is returned or notification is given of the customers intention to return the part. Please note that we shall not be under any obligation to replace any parts returned to them under these circumstances or to give any refund in respect thereof.

DELIVERIES

Delivery arrangements will be confirmed on ordering. Changes in delivery times will be notified to the customer when we become aware of any change and as soon as reasonably possible. Deliveries are not carried out by ourselves they are contracted out to a courier company; so we cannot guarantee any delivery times and cannot be responsible for any delays in delivery times. Therefore if you need a guaranteed delivery we will happily pack your part up for you and you can arrange your own courier to collect the consignment and deliver it to yourself or even collect it yourself. All goods must be inspected upon delivery before signing to ensure that the item has not been damaged during transit. If goods prove to be damaged, do not sign & contact us within 1 working day. This is to ensure that if necessary, a claim can be made against the courier company. Please note due to the un-insurability by the couriers, glass is supplied and sent at the customers own risk, refunds for breakages are not possible. If your goods are lost in transit replacements will be sent as soon as possible.

WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES

Guarantees are strictly return to base warranty. Faulty parts must be inspected by our own mechanics, declarations from your own mechanic are not acceptable, independent assessments can be arranged. Parts will carry a minimum guarantee of 30 days and only parts shown on your invoice/receipt are covered by the guarantee/warranty. Please note all parts supplied, are marked with security stamp/initials, removal of these marks will invalidate your guarantee/warranty. No parts may be altered, modified or dismantled in anyway (except for routine service adjustment) without prior permission of ourselves in writing. Failure to comply with these terms will invalidate your guarantee/warranty. All engines purchased must be fitted with a new timing belt/cam belt/chain and filled with new oil upon installation. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the guarantee/warranty being rendered null and void. Gearboxes must be filled with new oil upon installation. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the guarantee/warranty being rendered null and void. Any part which is found to be faulty or unserviceable (unless the fault was declared on purchase) will be repaired, exchanged or money refunded according to circumstances, provided that we are notified in writing within the period specified in the guarantee clause under which the goods were sold. Goods or parts sold from us are guaranteed or warranted for the time specified in the following clauses: -

*The article offered for sale has been removed from the donor vehicle, tested and inspected and found to be of such quality as to carry an unconditional guarantee of straight exchange or money back should a replacement unit not be available, if the article should be found to be faulty or unserviceable. (The MINIMUM period of guarantee for this category is 30 days).

*Because of the age and condition of the donor vehicle, testing or inspection of the article offered for sale has not been practicable. However, should the article be found to be unsatisfactory, a full refund will be given provided that the article is returned within a specified period. (The MINIMUM period of guarantee for the category is 7 days)

The terms and conditions of the sale of the article or articles offered for sale under this category and the terms of any guarantee agreed are subject to negotiation between the buyer and seller at the time and point of sale. Although there is not a minimum period of guarantee for this category, all terms and conditions of the guarantee must be clearly stated on the invoice at the time of sale.

We shall not be liable or responsible for:

*Any fault or defect in parts arising from wilful damage, negligence, failure to follow their instructions (whether written or oral), misuse or alteration to parts carried out otherwise than by ourselves.

*Any fault or damage caused by the fitting of parts otherwise than by ourselves.

*Any consequential or indirect loss claimed under any circumstances.

Bearing in mind that all parts are auto-salvage and the price substantially less than new, we do not hold ourselves responsible if any vehicle is off the road whilst a part is being brought back for exchange.

INCORRECT PARTS AND INCORRECT ORDERS

In the event that a part(s) are supplied and prove to be incorrect or faulty upon fitting, we must be notified within 48 hours in writing, and when the part is returned; a replacement can then be arranged; if a replacement is not available then a full refund will be offered. Any parts which are ordered but are later found not to be in stock will be refunded. Most vehicles and parts of vehicles sold are auto-salvage and are sold as such. Whilst we wish to make every effort to give good value to our customers, we cannot guarantee each part to be absolutely perfect and this is reflected in their prices when they are compared to the price of new items and parts.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

In the event that a part has been ordered but is subsequently cancelled before dispatch, we will refund the customer but there may charge an administration charge or 10%. Refunds will only be made upon the return of the goods to our premises.  It is your responsibility to return the goods. Some parts which are custom ordered to your specifications may not be refundable. In the event that a part is supplied correctly but the customer had made an error whilst ordering that part, we must be contacted immediately in writing and the part returned to ourselves within 7 days of purchase at the cost of the customer. We will refund the customer but may charge a carriage and packaging fee as the deliveries are not carried out by ourselves and the payment will have been transferred to the courier. Please ensure all goods are checked thoroughly before being signed for, as refunds are not always possible for goods that have been damaged whilst in transit. The words unexamined or unchecked on the delivery note/docket are not acceptable. We will not be held responsible for the refund of goods damaged if they have been signed for as received in good condition.

ENGINES

Customers must state if ancillaries are required. If request has been made, stating complete engine wanted, this means head, block and sump, it does not mean with ancillaries as these may be sold separately. There are many different variations in the ancillaries and manifolds etc mounted onto the engines therefore we cannot guarantee the engines to fit straight into your vehicle, certain parts such as manifolds etc may need to be swapped from your original engine first before fitting. Warranty excludes all gaskets, oil seals cam and fan belts. New cam belts must be fitted to engines and new oil used and new oil filters, evidence of this is required if there is ever a fault.

ELECTRICAL PARTS

Electrical Parts are non refundable, they will only be replaced if proven to be faulty. Parts can also develop further faults caused by other faulty components on the vehicle. Components can become damaged if not fitted correctly by an authorised auto electrician. Mileage cannot be guaranteed on electronic Speedos as they can be reset by the car they are fitted to. All parts have tamper evident security marking.
